Quick Song Recording And Playback (Record An Idea From Any
Mode)
Therearethreebuttons—labeledRecord,Play/Pause,andStop—belowthemodeselection
buttons.Theycontroltherecordingandplaybackofsongsfromanymode;youdon’thavetobe
inSongmodetorecordorplayback.However,you’llneedtomakesurethattheDemoButton
parameteronMaster
ModePage2issetto“Off.”OtherwisethesebuttonsareusedforEasy
Audition(seeEasyAudition,aboveonpage 3.)SeeDemoButton on page 9‐10fordetails.
Usingthesebuttonsaffectsthecurrenttrackofthecurrentsong—thatis,thesongandtrackthat
wereselectedthelasttimeyouwere
inSongmode.Whenyourecord,therecordingtrackand
recordingmodearedeterminedbythecurrentsettings inSongmode;likewisefortheplayback
modewhenyou’replayingasong.
WhenthesequencerstatusisSTOP PED(neithertheRecord‐buttonLEDnorthePlay/Pause‐
buttonLEDislitorflashing),
pressRecordtoputthesequencerinRECREADYstatus.The
Record‐buttonLEDlights(red).ThenpressPlay/Pausetostartrecording.ThePlay/Pause‐
buttonflashes(green)toindicatethetempo.AnycountoffisdeterminedbythecurrentSong‐
modesettingfortheCountOffparameter.PressPlay/PauseorStop
toendrecordingandgoto
theSavedialog,whereyoucansavethesong,ordiscardit.
WhenthesequencerstatusisSTOP PED,pressPlay/Pausetobegin playingthecurrentsong.
