Editing VAST Programs With KVA Oscillators
ThePC3LEusesKVAoscillatorsasanotherwaytogeneratesoundsinVASTprograms.Unlike
keymaps,whichplaysamplesstoredinROM,KVAoscillatorscreateDSPgeneratedwaveforms
everytimetheyaretriggered.TheKVAoscillatorscancreatearangeofwaveforms,fromhigh
qualitysimplewaveformsfamiliartousersof
classicanalogsynths,tocomplexwaveforms
whichtakeadvantageofthePC3LE’sinternalprocessingpowerandcomplexsignalrouting
capabilities.ThoughthePC3LEdoeshavekeymapscontainingsamplesofbasicsynth
waveforms,theuseofKVA oscillatorsprovidesuserswithbetterportamento,moremodulation
options,highersoundquality,andother
advantageswhichwillbeexplainedinthissection.
